We believe that strong mental health is critical for the overall well-being of our communities and society. We value diversity, inclusion and allyship and are committed to reaching as many young people and the adults in their lives as possible through mobilization efforts to ensure that our youth have critical information and support needed to prioritize their mental health as they develop. We do this through facilitating the National Council's Youth Mental Health First Aid and Teen Mental Health First Aid programs in schools across the country. These training programs have very positive results, with studies showing that youth and adults who participate demonstrate increased mental health literacy, greater confidence in helping someone with a mental health challenge, as well as improved well-being and less overall psychological distress for themselves.

We promote a holistic, overall wellness approach to mental health. Research demonstrates time and time again that prosocial activity and behavior activation principles are key to both maintaining and improving our mental health, especially when it comes to anxiety, depression and a healthy self concept. We help our youth make these connections by offering Mental Health First Aid training in a clinic or camp format where they can also learn or enhance their skillset with a specific extracurricular activity. We likewise connect the youth in our Direct Care program with an extracurricular activity of their choice while they are participating in individual therapy.
Our partnerships with local businesses and organizations help further our mission in many critical ways. Schools and youth organizations provide a key avenue for bringing mental health education to the front line. Businesses of all sizes as well as charitable foundations provide the financial support needed to make Together Tree a reality
Our partnerships with local businesses and organizations help further our mission in many critical ways. Schools and youth organizations provide a key avenue for bringing mental health education to the front line. Businesses of all sizes as well as charitable foundations provide the financial support needed to make Together Tree a reality and to keep services free of charge to some of our most deserving community members. Many of our partners also provide opportunities for our older youth to receive volunteer and job training at the completion of treatment.
